I love how this track has been constructed by Elite Gymnastics, an electro duo from Minneapolis. The sounds they have coming in and out are used well, especially the pitch-shifted vocals. Although I'm not really into their own, non-pitch-shifted vocals, I can let it slide for how cool this song is.
Check out this sick remix of "Werewolf" by French electronic folk artist Cocorosie. Omega, hailing from Denver, CO, is putting out the kind of artful dubstep I've been looking for, so they're definitely one to keep an eye on.
I am a fan of UK singer Katy B's voice and am really excited that she is working with electro/dubstep collaboration, Magnetic Man, who will be dropping an album of the same name next month. In a recent quest for more rap-infused dubstep, I found out about this awesome track featuring Young Buck by Kissed With A Noise (apparently an electro artist from Canada). Remix by PA house producer, B. Rich.
In the trend of earlier-this-summer throw backs that never got shared on here, I had to put up this great up-beat, dance-y track by Tuung. And I bet many of you will like that the remix is by none other than fellow British indie rock sensations, Bloc Party.
Just heard this refreshing track by Philadelphia's A Sunny Day in Glasgow, a collaborative band that has survived many transformations and you can hear it in their music. "Nitetime Rainbow" uniquely layers contrasting textures that are simultaneously bizarre and relaxing. I love 80s dreampop and while A Sunny Day in Glasgow definitely draw their influences from artists like My Bloody Valentine, I don't think they sound like them at all, at least based on this one track. But they are uniquely different.
This is a tune I've been diggin since June but haven't decided to post about until now because there have been so many great new songs I've come upon. Diplo is always a hit or miss with me but more and more he's been putting out hits and this remix of "My Secret Lover" by Danish band, Private, is definitely my current favorite.
Upcoming West Coast artist Stephan Jacobs is one to watch out for. I've taken a listen to some of his most recent work and his remixes are amazing.
